7th Heaven Card Set | Mintay Papers

#anitaenright       #mintaypapers    #scrapbooking

Hi Guys

I thought I would share a class that I taught at one of my local scrapbooking stores.
Using the gorgeous paper range 7th Heaven from Mintay Paper these cards were really well received by my class.
Included with the paper packs are a gorgeous sheet of images which were fussy cut for use on the cards.  Not many people like to fussy cut, but I love it and find it very relaxing.

I even managed to use my Couture Creations GoPress and Foil machine for the sentiment.

The range has beautiful shades of pink and blue.

Enjoy and happy creating....

Anita

Faces of You | Colour Blast

Welcome back.

During my time on the Design Team you will get to see a lot of my gorgeous little nephew Thomas.  He is nearly 18 months and has started running around now so he is becoming a little man with such a huge personality.

Featured in my layout today I have used the amazing Heavy White Gesso, the Colour Shimmer Spray and Colour Embossing Powder.

Starting with some of the Heavy White Gesso on a plate and added a few drops of the Envy Colour Shimmer Spray to mix up to the shade I needed.

Using one of my stencils I applied the paste with a spatula at different points over the white cardstock.  With the remainder I applied directly to the cardstock. Finally who doesn't love a 'splat' or two around the page.... me!! So that's what I did.

So below is a picture of what it looked like before everything else went down on to the page.

Next, using some of the Envy Embossing Powder I heat embossed my wooden letters.  I did two coats of the embossing powder to get a good coverage.

I forgot to take a picture of the next step.  I took a scribble chipboard circle from my stash and chopped in half.  Then, using the Dusty Charcoal Colour Shimmer Spray I painted the chipboard.  To do this I took a paper towel and absorbed a lot of the moisture, leaving a little moisture with the shimmer dust behind. I then applied it with a paint brush. I repeated the same process on two wood veneer arrows.

I did some stamping around the page using a black ink pad.  From my patterned paper offcut stash I added a couple of strips of matching patterned paper behind my matted photos (also on patterned paper).  I also found in my stash a couple of tags from a Prima ephemera pack.

The photo I was using as the central point was matted on 3D foam tape before adhering to the page. Popped down the title and I'm done.... and not a flower in site.

Below are a couple of close up photos of my finished page.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
I hope I inspired you to have fun and create something.

Ciao for now.

"Living Today" | Colour Blast

Hi fellow Colour Blasters

I am so thrilled to have been asked to join the wonderful Colour Blast Design Team for 2018-2019.  I have followed the amazing team of designers on the team for a long time and love using the product when I get to play with it..... and now I do on a very regular basis.

For my first creation for Colour Blast I wanted to do a 12x12" layout showcasing the gorgeous Artist Inks in my kind of colours - bright yellows and oranges.

To start my layout I covered the area that I was going to apply my Artist Inks to with some Heavy White Gesso. I really love this product as it dries so quickly which is great for me as I am such an impatient crafter.

I wanted to create a layout that matched the photo of my niece wearing her sunnies last summer holidays so chose the Colour Artist Inks in Citrus and Cider.
Using the dropper I added droplets of both colours along the diagonal and then using a brush blended them across the page. Next I used my heat gun to dry the inks off.

Once my page was dry I then took a matching orange ink and stamps several images over the artist ink and around the page to add another texture and feature to the page. I also add some splats in the Colour Shimmer Spray Tangareen Dream.

Using one of my many many stencils in my stash and the Snow White Colour Paste and added another layer to my page. I think the Snow White colour paste is my absolute thing EVER!!! I love how once dry the backgrounds colour show through.  So so so cool!!

Now that my background is done, I then had fun putting it all together with embellishments and flower clusters.  Using embellishments from Charms Creations, Flutterby Designs and D-lish Scraps I finished off my page. My title was from Celebr8 and inked in a matching orange ink, the same as the background stamping.

Here are a couple of closeups of my finished page.

Thank you so much for dropping by.
Have a great day and happy creating :)
