You Will Forever Be My Always | Bee Arty

Hi Everyone, back with you today sharing my latest creation for Bee Arty blog using the beautiful range Forever My Always designed by Fiona Paltridge.

I gathered all my pieces together prior to starting. My layout was a white cardstock base.

Taking the Diamond metal die, cut out two in a rose gold foil cardstock. Cut a strip of navy cardstock approximately 1" in size. More navy cardstock is used to mount your photo,

I was lucky enough to have some lace already coloured to match the papers. If you don't you can always colour some white lace with an ink that matches. One colour in the Colour Blast range that will work beautifully is Bling.

On the Heart Beat patterned paper there is a fine black line that runs slightly to the right of the centre of the page. Place the paper in your trim and cut along this line.

Take the smaller piece (the large piece is not required) and place it on the white cardstock to the left edge. With a pencil make a couple of marks where the paper ends. Use this as a guide as to where to do your stenciling.

Next, take the My Lady A4 stencil, place the floral part of the stencil, centred vertically, at the marks that you made where the patterned paper was ending. Apply Heavy White Gesso over the stencil.

Whilst the gesso is still very wet, sprinkle some of both the Steel and Just Blue Embossing powder over the gesso. Using your heat gun set the embossing powder. If you like a textured look to the gesso, keep the heat on the gesso until it bubbles, but be careful not to hold the gun too close or you could scorch your cardstock.

Once you have set the gesso, attach the Heart Beat patterned paper to the left side of the white cardstock. Attach your lace against the right edge of the patterned paper, then take the strip of navy cardstock and apply over the seam of the patterned paper and the lace.

Mount your photo on to some navy cardstock and then add 3D foam tape/dots to the reverse. My photo was printed with a border so if you like do a double mat.

I added 3D foam tape/dots to the reverse of the photo prior to mounting on the navy cardstock. So there was two layers of 3D foam tape/dots. Add the photo to the layout. For this layout I created the cluster whilst attached to the layout.

Add the two Diamond die cuts to the photo. Add a selection of fussy cut pieces from the Cut Apart sheet. Mount some on 3D foam tape/dots to get depth to the layout.

The title used for the layout came from the Heart and Soul patterned paper, again mounted.

I finished the layout with a raw wood veneer.

7th Heaven Card Set - Mintay Papers

Happy Tuesday Everyone

I don't know if you are like me but there is one company paper company that just takes your breath away everytime they release new ranges of paper. I absolutely love Mintay Papers and can't wait to get my hands on every new range when it comes out.

One of my absolute favourites still is 7th Heaven. The pinks and blues are just so...... ***sigh***.

So today I thought I would share with you three cards that I made using the collection. I loved them so much I found them very difficult to part with, but rest assured they went to homes where they will be loved.

Mintay Papers - Farm Life Card Set

Hi Everyone

I wanted to start sharing some of the gorgeous cards that I have been making.

Mintay Papers is one of my favourite paper manufacturers. The quality if great and the patterned papers are just so pretty.

Be Merry Christmas

Hello Everyone.

By now most of you will have seen the new Couture Creations BE MERRY ranges in your favourite scrapbooking and cardmaking store. If they don't stock it make sure you ask them to get it in for you as it is a gorgeous range.

So today I have for you a card that I made using some of the gorgeous glitter papers released by Couture Creations along with some of the new dies from the BE MERRYrange. I love being a little brave straying away from the traditional colours for Christmas.

I have kind of started making my card in a backward kind of way. The size of my card was dictated by the three die cuts using the Falling Bauble die using the Snow White Ultimate Craft cardstock. I then turned them into individual little windows by cutting a small frame around each die cut.

I then backed each of the Falling Bauble windows with the fuschia glitter cardstock then put 3D foam tape on the back of each of the windows. Mount each window next to the other with a small gap in between on to some of the Snow White Ultimate Crafts Cardstock. I then added some white ribbon across the middle tucking the edges under the windows. Adhere the white cardstock with the windows attached to a slightly larger piece of the fuschia glitter cardstock. I added some Snow White cardstock to the back to turn it into a card.

Next I die cut two of the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Merry Christmas Set one in Snow White and one in Onyx Ultimate Crafts cardstock,

and four sets of the Holly Berry Sprig set in Snow White.

Mount the black and white Merry Christmas die cut on top of one another slightly offset.

I partially deconstructed one of a Cottage Pollen flower. I sprayed some adhesive around the edges and then coloured it with some of the Anna Griffin Glitter in a matching pink. I then glued the centre of the flower back on to the base.

To finish the card I put some glue dots to the back of the flower and attached all the white sprigs. Adhere this to the left hand side of the card front and place the Merry Christmas sentiment to the right of the flower and then add some 2mm Onyx gemstones to finish.

Thinking of You

Hi Everyone, l hope everyone is doing well, keeping the colds and flus at bay here in Australia. I have been off colour lately with a chest infection but hopefully I'll soon be on the mend. It has taken my scrapping mojo away a little but trying to fight through it as I NEED to create. I WANT to create.
Below is a creation that I did for Couture Creations, Ultimate Crafts & Craft Concepts.

Some of you may recall a post I did for August where a work colleague asked me to make a 'card' for her with a quote on it. Well she loved it. She also had her surgery and so far, touch wood, all has gone well. The staff where I work wanted to do something special for her. Everyone gives flowers but we wanted to give her something personal where she could look at it and remember where she was and where she is now. To go with the gift, as per normal, I made the card, so that is what I am sharing with you today.

For the case base I made it to a finish as 6x8" in size in white cardstock. I also cut a 4x6" landscape in white also. I then chose some of the Magnolia Lane patterened papers, Floral Fancy and Elegant Lady and added them to the white cardstock as below.

I then die cut one of the Magnolia Doily dies and cut it in half. I also used the Keepsake Kandy doily die cut in half from the Amaryllis collection from 2015. I then attached each half to opposite sides of the 4x6" matted piece as shown in the picture below. Prior to attaching the doilies to the 4x6" piece I adhered some matching pink venise lace to the two horizontal sides. Next adhere the doilies and then adhere to the card base.

Next I die cut the Thank You die in Snow White Ultimate Crafts cardstock and backed it in Carnation pink Ultimate Craft cardstock and heat embossed a sentiment for my card. Using 3D foam dots adhere this to the left side of the card.

Using the Rose Cutting die cut 3 lots of leaves in Cyrpess Green Ultimate Crafts cardstock and cut 3 of the Drifting Feathers die. Ink the edges of the feathers in a matching green ink.
Using one of the Camden Cottage Roses from Couture Creations remove the back two layers of leaves. Lightly ink the remaining flower with a matching soft pink ink. I then sprayed it with spray adhesive and scattered glitter over it. Using more flowers from my stash and some pink berries I finished embellishing the card.

Magnolia Lane Shaker Card

Hi Everyone, I thought I would share with you some shakers cards I created using the Magnolia Lane collection by Susanne Smyth that recently featured on the Couture Creations blog. I hope you enjoy my creations.

To start I selected one of the panels that I liked from the Poetical Labels patterned paper. Okay, I admit it I love every single one of them so I wasn't short of one to chose from :)

You will find that the panel is not wide enough to go behind the frame that you cut out next. I added a small strip of matching patterned paper to the left side. It will be covered by the embellishments and dies you add to the outside of the frame later.

I then used the largest two dies from the Rectangle Nesting Dies and cut out a frame using the Ultimate Craft Obsidion cardstock. So that the frames did not move when I ran it through GoCut and Emboss machine, I placed a post-it note over the two dies as per the photo below.

The next step was to cut out a piece of the Couture Creations Acetate Sheets just big enough to be adhered to the back of the black cardstock frame. Attach some of the 3D foam strips around the inside back of the frame on the acetate making sure there are no gaps or your sequins could fall out.

Prior to removing the backing paper from the 3D foam strips add a mixture of matching coloured sequins then remove the backing paper from the foam strips and attach your chosen panel. Don't do what I did first time around and put it back to front. Make sure you chose panel can be seen through the acetate sheet.

I made a 5 x 7" card base in the Obsidion cardstock from Ultimate Crafts. I chose the Magnolia Borders patterned paper as this was similar to the panel that I chose and cut it to 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" so that I could see a good border of black behind the patterned paper.
Next, I attached the shaker to the patterned paper and attached a seam binding ribbon across the top securing it on the reverse side of the patterned paper. You can then glue the patterned paper to your card base.

I am still loving the Couture Creations Bulk Flowers. I sprayed two of the Camden Cottage Roses with a bright pink spritz. Next spray the flowers with adhesive and scatter with white or crystal glitter over the adhesive. Once dry, using glue dots, attach to the top corner of the black frame. The flowers just come up so beautiful.

Whilst my flowers were drying a little I quickly cut out the Tassels die in Precious pink, again from Ultimate Crafts, to use as a trail down the left hand side of the black frame. It also hid the seam where I widened the back panel. I added a few of the small 2mm Onyx gemstones to the tassel and then attached it to the black frame at the top using glue dots. Finally I added some 2mm Wisteria gemstones to the corners of the frame, a couple of small black flowers and a sentiment to finish.

As an added bonus I have also recreated the card using the SEA BREEZE collection by Denise Boddey. This one is perfect for Father's Day which is just around the corner.
