"Dream Big.. Aim High" | Colour Blast by Bee Arty

Hi Everyone

Welcome back to the Bee Arty blog. Today I wanted to share with you a creation that I made using the AIM HIGH collection designed by Cindy Porter. I loved making this super girlie layout of my niece with my mum. The dies, stencils and stamps with this range are just amazing!!

I loved the Destination paper in the pack with the corner flowers on the book print. I coloured some Texture Paste with some of the Walnut Artist Ink and then applied it through the Flower Pennants A5 stencil from the collection. I also did some stamping of some of the flowers in a dark brown ink using the Hydrangea Basket stamp set to the background patterned paper.

I coloured up some smooth cardstock using the Walnut Artist Ink and then used the cardstock to die cut the Flower Power metal dies. These are one of my go to dies they are just so so pretty.

This collection is still available in the Bee Arty shop. It is such a great collection and works beautifully with male and female layouts. I have only used a small portion of the full collection so check the rest out in store. Click on the image below to be taken there straight away.

Free Spirit | Colour Blast

Hi Everyone, Anita here with you today.

I love using bright happy summery colours and when seeing this photo of Sabine, needed to bring out the colour of the juice she was drinking. I am using a wide array of products from differing collections on this layout.

After prepping my cardstock with some of the Heavy White Gesso I chose the 'Encircled' stencil from the Arty Farty collection and added stenciling over the page.

The below photo shows just how beautiful this stencil really is.

Next I took a paper doily and using my watercolour palette, coloured the doily in the "Sunshine" colour.

Using the "Amber" Shimmer Dust and a little water I coloured up a Charms Creations heart with a paintbrush.

Taking my dry coloured paper doily I sprinkled some of the same "Amber" Shimmer Dust over the doily and sprayed it with water. Dry this off with a heat gun.

So, I don't know about you but I love the Colour Artist Inks. For my layout I used "Cider" which I added first. I lightly sprayed the stenciling with water and then added a few drops of the Artist Ink. I lifted the page to move the ink around. Dry off with your heat gun.

My next layer of Colour Artist Ink I added was "Citrus". Dry between each layer and build up the colour with each layer you add by drying in between.

To add more texture to the background I have used the "Circulate" stencil from the Arty Farty collection and some of the gorgeous "Tangerine" Colour Paste.

I needed to add some black to the layout so incorporated some stamping on my background. I love the "Floral Delights No. 2" Stamp Set. There are two different stamp sets with flowers and are a great staple set to have in your collection.

After stamping two different size flowers, I then coloured the centre with some of the "Sunshine" watercolours.

The part of prep was to colour my chosen title in black. I did this again with my watercolour palette in "Soot". If you don't have any of the Colour Blast watercolours, you can get the same affect either using Embossing Powders, Shimmer Dust or Mica Powder.

As I now print my photos at home I tend to print them with borders so that I don't have to mat them on cardstock. I added some 3D foam tape to the reverse of the photo before gluing to my page.

I added the heart and a couple of matching flowers from my stash to the bottom left of the photo, glued down the title (3D foam dots added to back) overlapping the photo a little and then finished by adding a little of the black hessian ribbon at the top and bottom.

Beauty | Colour Blast by Bee Arty

Welcome back Crafters.

For my post today I wanted to use one of the gorgeous rice papers in my personal stash, so I teamed it with some of my favourite colours from Colour Blast by Bee Arty. The final result ended up entirely different to what I what I was first imaging but I love the end result.

To start I took my chosen size canvas which had already been prepped with Gesso and attached my rice paper lady along with wording from the paper to the canvas using a clear glue.

I decided straight off I wanted to use the Sienna Colour Paste and needed a colour to combine nicely with it. One of my favourite colours from Colour Blast by Bee Arty is Deep Water but I didn't have any in my collection so thought I would mix up something similar from my Artist Inks. I chose the colour of Mermaid and Oasis combining equal quantities with some Heavy White Gesso.

I covered the majority of the canvas front (kept away from the lady and also went around the edges (sorry forgot to take a photo). The colour wasn't as intense as I wanted so I just mixed up the same Artist Ink colours together. This time I applied the colour directly to my project, no gesso used this time. I dabbed it all over the canvas and as the first layer dried I then added more, going gently over my image.

Once dry I took the Sienna Colour Paste and the A6 stencil Rose Reveal from the Love and Grace collection and applied the Colour Paste around the edges of the canvas. I also took some of the Colour Paste on the edge of one of my fingers and smudged it in between the stenciling.

More interest needed to be added to the background. I added some stamping using the script stamp from the Memories Stamp set using a matching ink pad from my collection.

Next I added more texture using the Scripted Stencil and a mix of Heavy White Gesso and some of the Mermaid Shimmer Dust in a few random places. I then used the same stencil with some of the Mermaid and Oasis Artist Ink to add more details to the background.

The last couple of details I created before adding my embellishments was the colouring of my metal with some of the Deep Water Embossing Powder. I heated up the metal embellishment with a heat gun and then sprinkled the powder over it. Shake off the excess then set with the heat gun.

And lastly, using a combination of Colour Sprays and Colour Shimmer Sprays colour up some cotton gauze to match the colours of the canvas. I used Colour Sprays in Lagoon and Coffee and Shimmer Spray in Sienna .

I added a few strands of colours pearls along the top and bottom of the canvas and also coloured up a chipboard title with a matching ink.

I glued metal at the waist of the girl and added some matching flowers, tucking in some of the coloured gauze underneath. Finally I added flowers to her hair and added the gauze also.

LOVE Makes All Things Grow

Welcome to the weekend everyone. I hope you all get to create some time over the weekend.

Anita back with you again today sharing with you a very quick and easy layout using very minimal product from the C'est La Vie collection.

For today's layout I used the 12x12 paper pad and the ephemera pack along with a chipboard title also from the collection.

To start today's layout I chose the Ivory cardstock from Ultimate Crafts. This is such a lovely cardstock to use and the array of colours available is amazing.

I took my "Definitions" background stamp from the L'Aquarelle collection and stamped randomly around the edges in a brown in that matched the papers. I then chose a second stamp from my stamp and added some more stamping to fill in the gaps.

Next I selected two pieces of patterned papers from the 12x12" paper pad. The two strips measure approximately 9 1/2" x 2". I mounted these on some of the Carnation pink cardstock. Next I ink around all the edges in a matching brown, the same at I used for the stamping.

Next I mounted my photo on to some of the Paper Bag coloured cardstock. My photo was printed on my Canon Selphy and I left a white border around it rather than mounting the photo on ivory/white cardstock. I adhered some matching pink lace from my stash to the reverse of the photo that I had also mounted on to some chipboard to give it more depth.

I chose several flowers from the ephemera collection along with a tag, some leaves, a couple of butterflies and the banner strip. Before permanently adhering the photo to the page I placed all the ephemera pieces under and around the photo and then attached them all down.

Using my 'wink of Stella' clear pen I added some glittery accents to some of the ephemera pieces.

Finally I covered the chipboard with some of the gorgeous Rose Gold Vintage Matte foil. It matched in beautifully. The chipboard set also has a couple of little flowers with it. I also foiled these and included them in amongst the ephemera.

Chef Lilli | Artdeco Creations

Hi Eveyone,

Anita, back here with you today sharing another (yes another) creation using the RAMBLING ROSE collection.
Todays layout showcases a photo of my cute little niece Lilli at her birthday party this year. They all went and did baking and she looks so cute in her chef's hat and apron.

After selecting the patterned paper that I wanted to use for the base mat of my layout I coated it lightly with some of the Anna Griffin Couture Creations Acrylic Gesso. Allow it to dry.

Next I chose the largest frame that I could find and cut out both the outside and inside as below. On the reverse of the frame I have added some foam mounting tape.
I then snipped the frame in half so that I could stretch it further to make it bigger.

After my patterned paper that I coated with Gesso had dried, I took a paper doily from my collection and in several places on the patterned paper inked over the doily in a matching ink. I am keeping the doily with my others as I am sure I will be able to use it on a layout at another time.
The second photo below shows the subtle effect on the patterned paper.

Using the beautiful Latticed Panel die from the Rambling Rose collection I die cut one panel in a matching soft pink cardstock. I then snipped it down as I will be using it as a feature behind my photo.

Here is the finished look of the die behind the photo. You will see I added some Stunning Silver 3mm adhesive pearls along the edges.

After fussy cutting several of the white butterflies from the patterned papers I then coloured them up. I have recently become the owner of an amazing kit of CHAMELEON PENS and have only just started playing with them. I took two of the large butterflies and using some of matching pink and purple colours blended colour over the butterflies.

I then added some of the Liquid Drops 3D Pearls in Cottonball along the wings. I am only just getting used to this product so my little pearls are all different sizes.

I am sure with time I will get better at it :)

Put these aside to dry. I also coloured up several of the other sizes in differing shades of grey as well (closeups will show these).

Prior to adding the frame, I used the Script stamp from the collection and stamped several times on the patterned background and then again using the flowers from the Grateful stamp and die set. I used a darkish grey ink.
Next, I cut a strip of the woodgrain paper and trimmed to approximately 11" in length snipping each end into a banner shape. I adhered the frame down just slightly down off centre. Next I used the woodgrain strip to hide the cut in the frame when I layed it down on the page. To do this I just attached it just in the centre and then added a paper doily over the top of it.

Next, as per below, I created a small 'bend' in the woodgrain paper, holding it in place with a small amount of doubled sided tape.

I coloured up one of the large Camden Beaded Cottage flowers with some pink and set it aside to dry. I added some Crystalina Glitzin' Glamour to the centres of some of the Tie Dyed & Jewelled Florettes and set them all aside to dry.

I mounted my photo on to some 3D foam mounting tape and once attached to the centre of the frame commenced adding my flowers, leaves and butterflies to the layout until I liked the final product. I continued using the 3mm pearls around the frame and on the butterflies.
My finishing touch was the pink resin bird.
