"Keep Sassy"

Hi Everyone

I haven't had much to play lately but last weekend pulled out papers from one of my favourite Colour Blast ranges - Trendsetter. Designed by the amazing Michelle Grant it truly is a gorgeous collection.

You can find it here.

For this one I wanted to also play along with the March Bee Arty Creative Hive challenge. I think I did it justice but I'll leave that up to you :).

Here is a copy of the Moodboard for the challenge and if you wanted to join in click on the link.  If not, they are great colours to create a layout, off the page project or some gorgeous cards. I so love this colour combination.

Bee Arty Creative Hive March 2021 Challenge

To create my page I started by adding some Mica Powder in Polar to the lower half of the Bee Arty cardstock and after drying completely I then added a little Shimmer Dust in Velvet.

I cut a piece of the "Sassy" paper from the Trendsetter collection at about 5 1/2" and then torn a strip from the "Impress" patterned paper.  Attach these the white cardstock.  From a piece of off-cut white cardstock I die cut the "Party Lights" die set and attached them to the layout under the torn piece of patterned paper.

I added some stamping in a matching dark purple ink. Next I added foam tape to the reverse of my photo, added some white gauze behind it and then after cutting the "Basket Weave" in the "Impress" patterned paper, attached it behind the photo (cut in half).
Adding some flower clusters and layering some of the cards from the reverse of the "Impress" patterned paper. To finish I added some words from the "Sparkle" word sheet mounted on foam tape and punched out some leaves in white cardstock to tuck in amongst the flower clusters.

Grateful Heart

Hi Everyone.

I finally did my first blind scrap the other weekend with Paige and loved it. I was stoked with my end result.  It was a great way to quickly do a layout given a list of requirements to gather together before hand.  My chosen requirement included a bundle of goodies from the Grateful Heart collection designed by Michelle Grant for Colour Blast by Bee Arty.  This was the first time I have created with the range and am looking forward to more play time soon.

If you want to do Paige's blind scrap you can find it on the Bee Arty Creative Hive on Facebook.  There you will find the list of items you need and the video to go with it.

I started with the HOPE patterned paper from the collection and then trimmed down a piece of white cardstock to mount on to it leaving the dark border.

It used the leaves from the A4 Party Lights stencil and the Leather and Bling Colour Pastes to add leaves to the lower right horizontal and vertical areas applying both colours over the stencil at the same time. Using the same colours in the Shimmer Sprays (only a few colours now available) and added some 'splotches' over the page up and along the dried Colour Paste.

I created a layered mat background for my photo using the 'b' side of the Together patterned paper and also cut out the doily from the 'a' side of the Heart patterned paper.

Using the Heartfelt stamp and a matching brown ink pad I stamped the heart along the same lines as the stencilling and then added just the scroll from the other stamp in the set.

Add the photo cluster on foam tape and then glue down.  This is to ensure it adheres properly over the Colour Pastes. I fussy cut a couple of items from the Blessed Word Sheet and Gathers cut apart sheet

Finish by adding a title from the Blessed Word Sheet, mounted on foam tape, and some of the lace strip under the title from the Gathers cut apart sheet. Lastly using a black pen draw the lines to create your square to tie all the areas together.

 Thanks for stopping by.
Don't forget to drop on by Bee Arty to grab all your scrapping products and when you do don't forget to grab yourself some of the 350GSM White Cardstock.  It is amazing for use with all your mixed media projects.

Until next time.. happy creating

Happy Time | Bee Arty

Hi Guys

My share today is of a double layout that I created using the gorgeous TIME FLIES range designed by Michelle Grant.  It is such a wonderful range to work with and the colours in the kit magnificent.

Here are a couple of closeups of each individual page.

The one thing I really love about the new ranges from Bee Arty is that they have now created papers that can be used together to create double pages.  I
n this range they are called "Tick" and "Tock", how cool is that 😁

The coordinating mixed media that comes with the kits is the "Espresso" Mica Powder and "Peacock" Shimmer Dust. I used both of these on the pages and it just makes it all pop.

To add texture to the background I used both the "Tic Toc" metal die and the "Riveted" A4 stencil from the collection.  There are two stamps sets in the collection "Time Flies" which has the zipper bees that I stamped on the background and also "Metal Plates" which I also stamped on the background patterned papers. Wording used on the pages came from the "Curious" patterned paper and the cogs and hinges came from the "Collection" sheet from the paper collection pack.

Check out some closeups of my layout.

All products used were from the TIME FLIES collection.  Pop on over to check everything out.

As we are in the lead up to Christmas this week, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of Bee Arty's crafting family a wonderful Christmas and safe start to 2021.
Let's all hope 2021 is a ripper of a year.

Take care everyone..... until next time....
