White Wedding | Couture Creations

Welcome back to the blog everyone.
For my layout today I decided to revisit some of the Ultimate Crafts
older collection of OOH LA LA
I have a lot of dies from this collection in my stash and it is no wonder why, they are all just so so beautiful.
My mum asked me to make a special card for my brothers wedding so this is what I came up with.  I love using white with kraft cardstock and because it was for a wedding added a few hints of gold.

To start using the Snow White Ultimate Crafts cardstock I die cut one each of the Nested Labels and Intrinsic & Ornamental dies.

Next I cut in Kraft cardstock the card base to approximately 6 1/2" x 4 1/2".  From some of the offcuts I cut one of the 3rd smallest of the dies from the Fancy Rectangles nesting die set from Couture Creations.

I then cut each of the three different die cuts in half as below.

I then needed some foliage to add behind the flowers that I had decided to use for the centre of the card.  My favourite die for leaves come from the Magnolia Lane Collection.  It is from the Rose Cutting die set.  I cut four of the branches in the kraft cardstock.

I love feathers and just wanted to incorporate them somehow in this card but the feather die from the Ooh La La collection was just too big.  I found some wood veneer feathers in my stash.  I decided to heat emboss them.  The Couture Creations Glacier White superfine embossing powder is just perfect.  Once I had coated the wood in the white I then added some of the Mirror Gold embossing powder to the ends.

Now all my pieces were ready to go I then constructed the card.
The larger of the two white dies, I mounted on some chipboard before adhering to the card base.  Next I added the kraft die cut followed by the smaller white die cut, again mounted on a little bit of chipboard offcut.

Because there was a one inch piece in the centre of the card, to build it up I added a piece of chipboard offcut.  I did place a piece of kraft cardstock over the top of it to blend in better with the rest of the card.  (sorry no photo but you get the idea).

I then embellished the centre of the card with the leaf die cuts, added some sprays of white flowers from my stash along with the white flowers.  I added a couple of the gold bouquets from the
Be Merry collection.

Count Your Life by Smiles | ARTDECO Creations

Welcome back Everyone.

I would like to share with you a monochromatic layout that I have done using the stunning RAMBLING ROSE collection by Sue Smyth.

The patterned paper that I have used is my ultimate ultimate favourite in this collection.  Whilst I really love the colour the paper is all about the lace print on it.  There are two other colour combos using the same lace background which are on my list to use very soon.

I participated recently in Creative Inspiration Live 2017 in Brisbane and have some wonderful memories in photos.  The first I am using in today's project.  Our wonderfully talented Design Team member Bridget Louw and good friend Tracey Rohweder surround me in this picture.
I hope they both feel I have done this photo justice.  I love the end result.

Ok, lets get on with it :)

I knew I wanted to mat my photo on to a larger patterned mat, and once I had decided on the size decided on how I wanted to cut the other papers.  I then matted these on to matching Plummery coloured Ultimate Crafts cardstock. The next bit was hard for me...... I tore two of the matted sizes.

The next step was taking an array of gorgeous dies and cutting them out in Snow White Ultimate Crafts Cardstock.  I used dies from the following collections - L'Aquarelle, Rambling Rose, Ooh La La and Ornamental Affair.
I also loved the stamp in the Rambling Rose Stamp & Die Set so ended up using it and it became the title for my entire layout.

Next, I selected a couple of the dies that I wanted to use 'sticking' out from behind some of the matted patterned papers and also from behind my photo.  I then decided on a layout style and stuck down the patterned papers.

In the Rambling Rose collection there is a gorgeous Bunting and Alpha stamp set. I took some of the bunting and snipped off the stitching and then layered the little banners on top of each other to make a 3 high stack.

I did forget to take a photo of the next step which was to make several other different size banners using the patterned paper offcuts that I had and then mounted them on the Plummery cardstock as well.

I then created a couple of layered flowers using the Tattered Carnations Floral Layers die set.  I inked the edges in a matching pink ink and then scrunched them up a bit.

The final part was just all about the constructing.  With all the 'ingredients' I have die cut and created, all I added were some of the smaller Bulk Flowers and some of the pearl strips from the Rambling Rose collection, oh and one of the resin flowers.

Below are some closeups of the finished layout. Don't forget you can click on each photo to get a closer and bigger look at each photo.

My Favourite Photos of You

Hi Everyone back here today to share with you another creation using the gorgeous RAMBLING ROSE collection form Ultimate Crafts which has just been released.

For today's creation I have used so many of the beautiful butterflies that cover the patterned papers in the colletion.

To start I have taken a piece of the Ultimate Craft cardstock in Snow White.  From the 12x12" paper pad I have used the wood panel paper.  There are two options in the papers, one with just the wood panels and one that has a lovely floral border along the bottom.  Because I wanted the focus to be the butterflies I have stuck to the simpler plain wood panels.

From the wood panel paper I trimmed a piece approximately 5" vertical and adhered it to the left side of the white cardstock.
I chose a square photo and mounted it on a piece of the Obsidian cardstock. I added a heart doily from the Ooh La La range to the back of the photo mat.
From the ephemera pack I chose one of the thin borders and after working out where I wanted to position my photo cut the thin border in two so that it edged the wood panel paper and finished right to the edges of the top and bottom of the page.

Next I fussy cut heaps of butterflies from the patterned papers.  Using some of the pigment powders in the coral pink and purple and a water pen I changed the colours of the inside of the butterflies.

I added some of the 2.5cm and 3cm Tie Dyed and Jewelled flowers to both the top and bottom left side of the photo and then I scattered the butterflies up the seam of the patterned paper, some of foam tape and some just glued down. I kept a couple of the butterflies aside to just add to other spots on the page once I had completed it.

I inked up a title and adhered it to the bottom right edge of the page.  Finally I added some pearls to the butterflies.
