Happy Birthday Husband

Happy Tuesday everyone

Thanks for stopping by again today. I am sure you agree that we are all in need of more male themed cards in our stash.  A lot of us find it so quick and easy to make beautiful female cards, so I decided I was going to focus on a more male orientated card using the Magnolia Lane collection for the Artdeco Creations blog.

I started by cutting a piece of black cardstock 10" x 7" and folded it in half to make a 5"x7" base card.
Next, cut a piece of Denim colour cardstock at 4.5" x 6.5".  With black ink,  ink the inside of the front side of the Petite and Tied Together embossing folder.  Insert the denim cardstock carefully and run it through your Bigshot (or equivalent machine) to emboss the cardstock.

Take the Timeless Garden paper piece from the 6"x6" paper pad and working from the bottom left edge, cut a piece 4 1/2 wide by 3 1/2" long.  Ink the edges in black. I then took the compass from the Timelss Garden stamp set and stamped the top right hand corner in black.

Die cut 3 of the Timesless die in black and glue the three together to give you some depth to the die. Cut 1 of the larger of the two Magnolia Borders die in denim.

Once the glue has dried I then covered the Timeless die cut in versamark and covered it in clear embossing powder and heat embossed it to give it that amazing gloss finish.

Finally I die cut the larger of the two frames from the Square Magnolia Frame die, once in black and once in denim.  Cut the black die cut in half and mat it behind the blue one.  Stamp a sentiment on it and then add 3D dots to the reverse.
That's it.  Now you just have to put all the pieces together to create your card.  Gee I love quick and easy cards.
Below are a couple of close ups of the finished card.
