Welcome back Everyone.
I would like to share with you a monochromatic layout that I have done using the stunning RAMBLING ROSE collection by Sue Smyth.
The patterned paper that I have used is my ultimate ultimate favourite in this collection. Whilst I really love the colour the paper is all about the lace print on it. There are two other colour combos using the same lace background which are on my list to use very soon.
I participated recently in Creative Inspiration Live 2017 in Brisbane and have some wonderful memories in photos. The first I am using in today's project. Our wonderfully talented Design Team member Bridget Louw and good friend Tracey Rohweder surround me in this picture.
I hope they both feel I have done this photo justice. I love the end result.
Ok, lets get on with it :)
I knew I wanted to mat my photo on to a larger patterned mat, and once I had decided on the size decided on how I wanted to cut the other papers. I then matted these on to matching Plummery coloured Ultimate Crafts cardstock. The next bit was hard for me...... I tore two of the matted sizes.
The next step was taking an array of gorgeous dies and cutting them out in Snow White Ultimate Crafts Cardstock. I used dies from the following collections - L'Aquarelle, Rambling Rose, Ooh La La and Ornamental Affair.
I also loved the stamp in the Rambling Rose Stamp & Die Set so ended up using it and it became the title for my entire layout.
Next, I selected a couple of the dies that I wanted to use 'sticking' out from behind some of the matted patterned papers and also from behind my photo. I then decided on a layout style and stuck down the patterned papers.
I did forget to take a photo of the next step which was to make several other different size banners using the patterned paper offcuts that I had and then mounted them on the Plummery cardstock as well.
I then created a couple of layered flowers using the Tattered Carnations Floral Layers die set. I inked the edges in a matching pink ink and then scrunched them up a bit.
The final part was just all about the constructing. With all the 'ingredients' I have die cut and created, all I added were some of the smaller Bulk Flowers and some of the pearl strips from the Rambling Rose collection, oh and one of the resin flowers.
Below are some closeups of the finished layout. Don't forget you can click on each photo to get a closer and bigger look at each photo.
