Treasure each Day

Welcome Back Everyone,
So glad you could join me again on the Couture Creations blog.  I am having so much fun being part of this wonderful Design Team, I am getting to create some beautiful projects.

When I started this project I had an idea in my head but the end result was so totally different.  I love the finished product.  I hope the beautiful lady I have made it for loves it too.

I fell in love with the Jocund Julie die from the Amaryllis Ornamental Lace Collection and what better way to use it than to create my own lace paper.  It is a smallish die and I needed to cut 25 to cover the sheet of cardstock that I chose to base the colour scheme on.

I located the centre of the piece of cardstock and one by one glued down each diecut working my way to the edges of the paper.  As there was a small edge left uncovered I grabbed a matching, slightly darker ink and inked all the edges to slightly soften the look. The dies matched together beautifully.

At the moment I really love using laces on my scrapbooking pages to give that real feminine look so found a wide crisp white piece and adhered it approximately 2/3 down the page. I then added contrasting edge to the top of the lace using the Simone's Style border die from the Amaryllis Ornamental Lace collection and adhered it to the top edge of the white lace, then added more dimension with a bit of bling.

From there it is was just about layering flowers and embellishments around the 5x7" photo that I mounted on 3D mounting tape. I added a slight pop of colour taking it through in to the title.
