Hello
I love scrapbooking, cardmaking, OTP and mixed media, and now with
Couture Creation having released some more amazing new dies and embossing folders at CHA in January, it won't be long before I get hold of some to play with.
Being part of this design team would be a privilege and a wonderful way to keep the creative juices flowing. Below are several creations that I have done using some of their great products and also a couple that I have done previously. I have included my very first creation using Finnabair as my inspiration, my first true mixed media project.
I hope you enjoy checking them out as much as I did enjoy creating every single one of them.

This gorgeous card was made using the Damask Delight paper pad. I used the 'Tied Together' die from the Momento Collection of Dies. I blinged up a chipboard butterfly with Glitzin' Glamour, added some clear Gemstones, added a feather or two, some flowers and a button. |
|
Creating this clipboard I started by painting the board in olive green paint, and then blinged up the actual clip using glitter. After adding the paper (front and back) from the Vintage Rose paper pad I sealed the board and clip using Mod Podge. I then used the larger die from the Ornamental Lace die set at the top of the board and topped it with some matching lace. At the base of the board I used the Scallop die from the Chandeliers die set, added the lace and some flowers. |

This card had the red mat embossed using the Chiaro embossing folder. The patterned paper is from the Vintage Rose collection. I stressed the edge of the paper prior to folding the top right corner and attaching a pearl brad to hold in place. Organza ribbon was attached around the embossed card prior to the patterned paper being attached. A few flowers in the top left and bottom right corners and I was all finished. |

My 12x12 layout was created using the Vintage Rose paper pad. I first chose an olive green cardstock as the base mat. The print paper was stressed first using my Couture Creations scissors and then torn in some parts and the edges rolled. I then inked the stressed edges with a beige ink to take a little of the whiteness off the edges. Rather than mounting the photo on the print paper I decided to place it on the base card. I calculated where I wanted it placed and then cut a rectangle out of the print paper, stressed the edge and slightly rolled it before putting the photo in place. A blinged scroll was cut and placed on the print paper around the photo, flowers added, a chipboard birdcage glittered and sealed, and the chipboard title inked in chocolate coloured ink. A small MDF bird was inked and added to the top right corner. I then added a few Gemstones to a couple of the flowers that were printed on the patterned paper. |
Below are a couple of others creations that I have made recently.

My very first mixed media creation. I simply love it. It was a challenge at the last retreat that I went on. Everyone else that participated in the challenge went for dark colours so I had to be different and go more 'girlie'. The final result was stunning. |

I chose this layout to put in my application because I love absolutely love the photo. It is a family photo from my husband's side of the family. It is from the early 1900's and the monochromatic colour scheme, I feel, does it justice. | | | | |
